Hypothesis 3: Right Tibia Fracture and Soft Tissue Damage Muscle Rupture due to hit by car trauma-Muscle in the right and left hind limbs could likely be ruptured due to the blunt trauma of hit by car. Many different muscles could be involved in this situation. Muscle stretching or strain/sprain-Muscle in the right and left hind limbs could also be stretched or strained/sprained upon blunt trauma of hit by car. Rupture is not the only form of damage that could occur to the muscle. Myositis, or pain and swelling in the muscles in the area of trauma could have occurred. Inflammation of the muscle in the right and left hind limbs is very possible due to trauma. Evidence of this is the right hind leg is swollen distal to the stifle. The left hind leg is also swollen all the way down to the toes. Rupture or damage of Tendons or ligaments-severed digital flexor or extensor tendons, severing of achilles tendon could have occurred Stretching, straining/spraining, or laxity of the ligaments around joints are also possibilities to have occurred. Right Tibia Fracture-There is definite evidence of fracture of the right tibia. Evidence of this is the palpable instability of the right tibia. The tibia doesnŐt appear to be continuos in the midshaft area of the tibia.
