Prognosis: TitanŐs prognosis is favorable since the lameness is still fairly mild. If the weight loss that is recommended is carried out, this will decrease the pressure on the joint and should alleviate some of the pain. If pain and lameness continues, or if the lameness shifts to a grade II or III, surgery is indicated as noted in the management plan. The prognosis for Grade II and Grade III patellar luxation is good with surgical correction.
