Goodpasture's Syndrome                                     

Goodpasture's Syndrome is a nephrotic disease charaterized by autoantibodies directed against the collagen in basement membrane of the glomerulus.  These autoantibodies are specific for the alpha-3 regions of type IV collagen.

This condtion is more common men and 75 percent already posses HLA type DR15 or DR4.

Symptoms and clinical Signs:

Shortness of Breath

pallor

burning sensation while urinating

blood in urine

BUN and Creatinine levels increased

Increased Urine Protein
