This Concept Map, created with IHMC CmapTools, has information related to: Wyckoff_Patterns and Changes, albedo that causes a higher amount of light to be reflected helps with cooling of the polar regions, air pollution can cause more sunlight radiation to be absorbed and trapped which can contribute to climate change, carbon dioxide being absorbed into water causes the water to become more acidic, and this causes ocean acidification, carbon dioxide is one component that is increasing which is a cause of air pollution, volcanoes emit particles that stay in the atmosphere which cools the earth because of the reflection of the radiation from sunlight, albedo is a measure of how much an object reflects light, and if it does not reflect a lot of light there is a lot of light absorption, polar regions have areas that are becoming darker as the ice and snow melts which means more light and radiation is being absorbed- this is another component that can be seen in climate change, food chain could be affected as there is a change in the location where certain species of animals live because of wildlife and forest movement, greenhouse effect is necessary to allow the earth to be habitable, but if too much heat is absorbed, there is climate change, glacial melt is caused when large pieces of ice break off into the ocean and begin to melt; this is another way that water molecules are moved through the water cycle, ozone allows visible light into the atmosphere because it is radiation from sunlight, volcanoes spew out particles into the atmosphere which creates a shield that reflects the sunn and lessens the greenhouse effect, evaporation creates more water vapor in the air; this causes heat to become more trapped in the atmosphere which contributes to the greenhouse effect, ocean acidification causes coral reefs to become bleached which also causes harm to the water ecosystems, albedo that causes light to be absorbed causes the surface to heat up which can lead to more melting, ecosystems are affected by climate change as animals and plants move and leave, and the food chain is affected as animals migrate or begin to become extinct and leave their part in the food chain, water cycle shows that more water evaporates from the ground into the atmosphere, and this causes heavier precipitation, weather changes may be partially caused by more water being evaporated during the water cycle, radiation from sunlight contributes to the greenhouse effect when it is absorbed and trapped by carbon dioxide, ozone is lessening, and some think that it is leading to climate change
