006. Run the Simulator to Put the Economizer On-line

[Load Snapshot "Ex_006_Changing Over from DO to HFO_Burning"]

- Asssume scenario as described below [but check to confirm] and then follow the given procedures

Electrical Power:-

Shore Power:Off; Emergency Generator:Auto Stand-by; Both Turbo Generators:Off; Diesel Generator:On

Deaerator:-

Full with guage glass reading between 60~70 mm

Both Boilers:-

Both boilers on low fire. Both Boiler Press - aboout 6 Mpa; Both boilers are running on DO supply.

Distilled Water Tank (DWT) & Atmospheric Drain Tank (ADT):-

Both DWT & ADT about 60% full.

>> Procedure to run the Feed Water Economizers:-

Stbd/Port Boiler:
1 Open the economizer inlet and outlet valves.
2 Close the economizer bypass valve. (Do not do this in the reverse oreder or the Main Feed flow will temporarily stop.)
3 Check the economizer feed water temperature outlet rises above that of the inlet.
