By focusing on a university level course offering, it is possible to scale down the speed and depth of instruction such that the same lesson may be applicable to the high school student as well. As part of this goal, each unit that is covered in a typical course offering needs to be reevaluated and redesigned to work effectively as an online course. The unit on pressure and gases is the one that I will focus on because it is among the most challenging for students and provides the best opportunity for the design and implementation of new, online instructional methods.
